History of club
Lithuanian women cycling club "Aušra Gruodis" was established at the end of 2002. The
Club was registered on 27th November 2002 as a
legal social organization.
Lithuanian women cycling club was established on the initiative of honorary
president of Lithuanian Cycling Federation Victor Gediminas Gruodis. The title
of club is the name of the president and the patroness of Lithuanian women
cycling - Aušra Gruodis.
Lithuanian women cycling club "Aušra Gruodis" is established for that
reason, that the most perspective riders after finishing schools and not
having any contract with professional sport club abroad, should have the
possibility to seek highest results.
The club "Aušra Gruodis" was combined with Italian sport club "Safi" in the
2003 year. The club "Aušra Gruodis - Safi" was represented by riders: Zita
Urbonaitė, Modesta Vžesniauskaitė, Erika Vilūnaitė, Julita Papinigytė, Agnė
Radzevičiūtė, Ramunė Lipinskaitė, Indrė Janulevičiūtė, Diana Elmentaitė, Lina
Dervaitytė, Lina Baltrušaitytė and Nicole Cook.
During 2004 year season the club was represented by Diana Elmentaitė, Lina
Dervaitytė, Agnė Bagdonavičiūtė, Eglė Cekanauskaitė, Ramunė Lipinskaitė,
Svetlana Pauliukaitė, Indrė Janulevičiūtė and Julita Papinigytė.
For the 2005 year season the team is represented by: Simona Krupeckaitė,
Lina Dervaitytė, Eglė Cekanauskaitė, Ramunė Lipinskaitė, Svetlana Pauliukaitė,
Indrė Janulevičiūtė, Julita Papinigytė.
For the 2006 year season the team is represented by: Inga
Cilvinaite, Svetlana Pauliukaite, Diana Elmentaite, Ieva Siaudvytyte, Raimonda
Montvilaite, Veranika Sharametsyjeva, Alena Sitsko.

popularize cycling sport in Lithuania, to help young athletes become
professional riders and seek highest results in cycling
sport.
